- The following are provided: the project surface, complete set of written instructions and all paints and mediums used in class.
- Workshop fee on application.
- In addition, you purchase a starter kit which you will use at all other classes after this workshop.
- Basic set of brushes can also be purchased here or buy as you go along.
What do you paint at the Beginner Workshop?
The "comma stroke" is recognised as being the core or the foundation of decorative painting. When you learn the comma stroke, you learn the right technique of brush loading and brush control - and these provide you with a strong foundation for developing subsequent skills.

The Beginner Workshop project is a classic daisies strokework project, and believe it or not, you WILL complete the project and take it home with you at the end of the workshop.

Since this is your first project, you will paint on a flat surface and the workshop will include learning the basics of surface preparation. This is the only time you will prepare your surface in class - in subsequent classes, you will prepare the surface at home and bring it to the Studio ready to paint.

After you complete the beginner workshop you can move on and take other workshops that are suitable for beginners.
* The projects above are actual projects painted by students attending the Beginner Workshop.
